about the program

This is the logo for Platform No. 13. There is a black background with the text 'Platform No. 13 Artist-In-Residence'. There is a very think grey border around the text.
Platform 13 - Artist Showcase

The idea for Platform 13 was born in 2013, the year the replica L&PS Station was built to house Railway City Tourism. Located right on the train tracks, our centre has become a hub for community connection — and after seven years of hosting the Railway City Arts Crawl, we’ve built strong relationships with our local creative community.

In 2025, we took the next step by launching the Platform 13: Artist Showcase — a space dedicated to celebrating local artists. Every 3 to 6 months, a new artist is invited to exhibit their work in our on-site gallery space. Artists also have the option to set up a small studio area to create on-site, offering visitors a chance to see their creative process in action.

Each featured artist is profiled here on our website and their work is made available for purchase through our online Gift Shop.

Our goal is simple: to shine a spotlight on the incredible talent in our region and foster deeper connections between artists and our community.
