St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre
301 Talbot Street • St. Thomas, Ontario • N5P 1B5
The mission of the St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre is to encourage and promote an appreciation for the visual arts in St. Thomas and Elgin County through a variety of exhibitions and educational programs and through the preservation of a permanent collection.
The St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre is dedicated to presenting a historical and contemporary visual art program by local, regional, national, and international artists; facilitating the development of emerging artists; providing diverse art educational programming; acquiring culturally-significant works of art; and the caring of the management of a permanent collection. The evolution of the institution is integral to its survival with an ever-changing community. Through the expansion of school and fine art programming, enhanced exhibitions and the commitment to the growth of the Art Centre's permanent collection, the Art Centre has positioned itself to adapt, respond, and develop in collaboration with the communities that it serves. We would like to send out a special thank you to the donors, granting agencies, supporters, staff, instructors, and volunteers who contribute so much to our operations and the arts community. |
