Girls, better dust off those poodle skirts because on July 12th the St Thomas Downtown Development Board is bringing you the most 50’s & 60’s fun you've had...well...since the 50's & 60's! The Nostalgia Nights is going to knock your socks off! You’re sure to see plenty of bent eight’s on scene during the amazing car show, hoping to feature three-hundred classic cars in a static car display on Talbot Street from 5pm – 9pm. If you can take your eyes from the cars for just a second why not head over to the newly restored L&PS Corridor for an awesome Art in the Park from 2pm-7pm which will showcase local artists & their art pieces (the corridor is that new space they have made look all spiffy in the area adjacent to the Moore Street parking lot)!
The road closure will be from John to Mondamin Street during the event. But that all seems like a lot of walking doesn’t it? SOOOO, give your feet a rest by hopping aboard the PSTR Train giving free rides from the L&PS Station (home of Railway City Tourism) on Talbot Street from 1pm-7pm over to Parkside round-trip to come back downtown to get back into the nostalgic fun! Tickets for the train with scheduled rides will be distributed on a first-come/first-served basis. But, going to be hungry about now; well, Nostalgia Nights has you covered because there will be local food vendors on scene as well as a 50/50 draw, awards, and best of all, PRIZES! So, take the kids, grab grandma, dress in your niftiest 50’s & 60’s gear and head downtown on July 12th for Nostalgia Nights - brought to you by the DDB.
