Food is an essential part of identity. Our culture, our interests and our health shape who we are. Sometimes, we need to step out of our comfort zone to experience new things that will further shape us as individuals. While food may differ between cultures, communities and people, it more often than not unites people from all walks of life. Food is far more than just sustenance, each dish is an experience. Here, we have assembled a culinary guide featuring St. Thomas businesses from the 2023 Taste Magazine, showcasing the greatest flavours that make up the unique and delicious tastes of the Railway City.

As summer comes to an end, we are reflecting on some of the events and happenings that we experienced over the past couple months. One in particular that was very special to us was the Mural Festival!
Over the past few years numerous murals have been added to our community through the Track to the Future Mural Project. Over the past couple months, the project has continued and new artists have completed some beautiful works expanding our mural collection in St. Thomas in wonderful ways. The purpose of the mural festival was to get people out and about while immersing themselves in the arts! On that note, we also would like to extend our gratitude to the many local businesses and studios who took part and participated in the event. As a result of this initiative, we are proud to share that approximately eight new murals have been painted! Check them out below... Here in St. Thomas we have many amazing local businesses that offer amazing food and drink options. We wanted to dig a little deeper into what makes some of these unique establishments tick, and today we are highlighting Steelhead Food Co. located on the North end of the city at 5 Barrie Blvd. Steelhead Food Co. created an innovative business where they operate a public Fish & Seafood Market, in addition to the wholesale aspect of their business. We caught up with Meg McTaggart, one of the co-owners, to find the story behind Steelhead.
