I grew up with a German mother who made calendula oil in our kitchen—simple olive oil infused with dried calendula flowers. It was our family remedy for sunburns, bug bites, and irritated skin. That golden oil remains an important part of my formulations today. For me, skincare has never been about trends—it has always been about listening to the skin, and returning to what nature already knows. In the early 1980s, I trained as an esthetician and began creating my own skincare products. While working with professional skincare lines, I saw how many people struggled with sensitive and reactive skin.
For me, skincare has never been about trends. It has always been about listening to the skin and creating products with purpose, care, and respect for nature. Metamorphosis is my skincare line, and The Goat Milk Soap Co. is my newest collection of handcrafted soaps. Both are available locally at Briwood Farm Market, Yurek’s Pharmacy, Foodland in Port Stanley, and Studio Apparel in Port Stanley.
