Tucked throughout this 3 km strip is a peaceful network of pocket parks, parkettes, and paved pedestrian trails. Offering shady benches, mature trees, and beautifully maintained greenery, these micro-green spaces are ideal for enjoying your morning coffee, a quiet lunch break, or a moment of calm while strolling downtown.

The Veterans Memorial Garden is a deeply meaningful urban parkland dedicated to honoring the sacrifice of local servicemen and women. The garden consolidates historic monuments from across the region and is situated directly along the Whistlestop Trail. Just south of the Veteran's Memorial Garden is a tranquil green corridor. Following the historic rail line, this paved linear Whistlestop parkette continues down toward Wellington Street with benches, garden beds, and smooth multi-use pathways.
Jonas Park & CASO Station Grounds | Jonas Street
Tucked just south of Talbot Street near the historic CASO Railway Station, Jonas Park features the iconic Trans Canada Trail pavilion, open lawns, and a direct connection to St. Thomas railway history.
Whistlestop East-West Trail Shortcut | Moore & Centre Street
A great local secret for pedestrians! This paved, multi-use trail runs behind Talbot Street—connecting Veteran's Memorial Garden over to the CASO Station and out toward the Joe Thornton Community Centre. It's a peaceful, car-free route across downtown.
