BackgroundRailway City Tourism, in partnership with the Small Business Enterprise Centre and the St. Thomas Downtown Development Board, is excited to offer a Busker-style series that gives musicians and artists a free venue this summer to perform. The series will feature local up-and-coming musicians, but anyone who wishes to participate will be considered on a first-come-first served basis. This is a not-for-profit event and is intended to celebrate our local talent and downtown in the summer and any money given to the Buskers during their performance is theirs. So come on out and show your appreciation for the local music scene.
Downtown Tracks will be on July 7 & August 4 from 3-5 pm. July 7th 3pm - Johnny Five-0, an 80s & 90s inspired musician. Performs different genres including 90s Rock, Classic Rock, and Acoustic. 4pm - Ukes of Hazzard, a group of talented local musicians who entertain crowds with their magnificent ukulele-playing 5pm - John Milles closes the afternoon with his amazing alternative acoustic music. August 4th 3pm - Space Available - If you are a local musician interested in the spot, let us know! 4pm - The Parker Colleen Duo & Friends - Sweet sounds from the 70's and 80's 5pm - Craig Hill - Craig is a laid-back musician, who has been playing guitar for about twenty-five years. After getting (mostly) great reviews from his dog, about concerts in the living room, he has decided to share his music for the more human type. His music has been described as folk with an edge. You can hear some of his songs here. |
