For those looking to get a #TasteOfStThomas and support local small businesses, follow this Facebook group for recommendations, information, and more! You may find yourself surprised! Restaurant & Foodie Guide: St. Thomas Group Mission: provide positive mentions for all things food related - eateries, caterers, markets, everything food etc. in hopes to derive further growth and success of the establishments. Where it all started...The hospitality industry has suffered tremendously during the pandemic and has been forced to scramble to survive during such unprecedented times. One of my passions is hospitality and I wanted to extend my assistance in promoting their establishments. I encourage eateries, caterers, all things food to post their weekly specials, menus, new menu items - any food/drink they wish to promote. Organizing a Facebook group is complimentary; who doesn't love to talk food and scroll through endless images of tasty creations? This group offers those with a passion for food to congregate, post pictures of masterpieces, answer fun foodie pick one poll questions, and ultimately post about their experiences in a positive manner. I try my best to catch the negative comments posted as they're 100% not tolerated, but I do also need to rely on my group members to report any negativity within the group. As I make mention in my announcements along with the rules of the group: It takes a lifetime to build a reputation and only a second to abolish it, so I ask of the current and future group members to always keep the mentions positive! This foodie group also offers a central spot to peruse local menus; the section is growing and I encourage all eateries to submit their menus. Menus are housed under the Album section of the group; each establishment has their own dedicated album. Menus from local St. Thomas eateries you'll find listed are: The Bistro, Braxtons Tap & Grill, Al's Pizzeria, Wimpy's Diner, Upper Deck Sports Bar & Grill, The Smokin' Caboose Barbeque, and Le Cafe Siam: Thai Cuisine. Feel free to submit your menu, I hope to grow this section of the group! My ultimate goal with this group is to continue to promote the local eateries, caterers and everything food, gain new members - and don't forget - markets will be opening soon!
