Little Red Mitten is a space where we invite you to take a break from your busy life and nurture your creative spirit amongst a like-minded creative community. We want to show you how you can use the therapeutic and meditative qualities of creation to promote self-care and personal growth, all while exercising skills in knitting, weaving, crochet, and more! As the largest yarn store in Southwestern Ontario, our passion for natural fibres and beautiful colours allows us to provide a lovingly curated collection of fine yarns perfect for your next project.
The store is in a restored heritage house in the historic district of St. Thomas, located across from the famous Jumbo monument. In 2019, Kerri Masseo and Jolyn Gardner, long-time employees of “The Mitten” purchased the store that houses their beloved community of makers, and while the ladies look to build on the legacy of community that Little Red Mitten has brought to the city of St. Thomas and surrounding areas, they are also enjoying introducing new and innovative forms of creative expression to the space. |
