Established in 1962, the St. Thomas Dragway holds a legendary legacy as the oldest continually running drag strip in Canada. Located just minutes south of the city in historic Elgin County, this iconic track has hosted racing royalty for decades and proudly remains a focal point for the regional automotive community. Now owned and operated by Spriet Motorsports Inc., the facility offers action-packed weekend programs running from May through October, featuring everything from street-legal test-and-tunes to elite, high-stakes bracket racing and thrilling off-road mud bog challenges.

What's On Offer:
  • 🏁 The Strip: Quarter-mile track sanctioned by the WDRA (World Drag Racing Alliance), featuring professional points programs and local amateur classes.
  • 🚦 Street-Legal Fridays: Want to race your own vehicle? Gates open every Friday night at 5:00 PM for the highly popular "Street Legal Test & Tune" (Runs from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM).
  • 🚜 Off-Road Park: The newest addition to the property, hosting roaring specialty Mud Bog events and private off-road rentals throughout the season.
  • 🏆 Signature Events: Home to major yearly events like Mopar Day, the massive Summer Sizzler bracket races, and the iconic Big Rig Truck Nationals featuring real semi-truck drag racing.
