5 | Kettle Creek Food Truck festival

THE VIBE: Don’t miss out on a day of food, music, and fun at the Food Truck Festival! Enjoy delicious food trucks, live music, lawn games, and more! 

MUST DO: After tucking in to your delicious meal, we recommend taking a quick stroll around the nearby Wetland Trail to re-energize, accessible just behind the playground area.


LOCAL TIP: On your way back into town, stop by Howe’s Farm Market (11143 Highbury Ave) to pick up some baked goods and fresh produce to take home!

4 | Nostalgia Nights classic car show

THE VIBE: Soak in that sentimental feeling at Nostalgia Night! Travel back in time with the Classic Car Show and enjoy free train rides, live retro tunes, and even more.

MUST DO: The day is all about nostalgia! So why not pick up a little souvenir for yourself at the Vintage Market during the event? Found behind Railway City Tourism at 605 Talbot.

LOCAL TIP: 
After the Car Show, take a drive to Shaw’s Ice Cream (6598 Sunset Drive), a dairy bar with a classic feel, for a sweet treat before heading home!

3 | Pawsitively elgin

THE VIBE: Ready your furry friends for Pawsitively Elgin! This canine carnival has something for everyone: enjoy lure courses, scent dog demonstrations, local treats, a kids zone, agility training, and more!

MUST DO: Think your doggo has what it takes? Bring your pup to try out some agility training during the event! Humans welcome to participate too. 

​LOCAL TIP: After the festival, come visit one of our local dog parks! Choose from Lions Club Dog Park (25 Talbot St) or the Kettle Creek Dog Park (44070 Mapleton Line).

2 | Railway City Music & Arts Festival

MUST DO: Grab a drink at one of two beer gardens. Or 

LOCAL TIP: 
Haven’t had enough of St. Thomas’ art scene? Come visit our local Art Centre! Stop by St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre (301 Talbot) for a free tour around their latest exhibits.

1 | Downtown oktoberfest

THE VIBE: Celebrate with downtown St. Thomas at Oktoberfest! Enjoy live music, ceremonial keg tapping, traditional dances, the beer garden, and more! This year Jim Cuddy joins the fun for an epic live music experience you won't want to miss.

MUST DO: Take part in the Goosechase Scavenger Hunt - an interactive way to explore Oktoberfest and support more local downtown businesses and restaurants outside the main event area.

LOCAL TIP: 
You don't have to wait for Oktoberfest to enjoy local beer. Enjoy seasonal brews year round at one of the local craft breweries! Visit Caps Off Brewing (168 Curtis St) or Railway City Brewing (130 Edward St).
