Bigger, Better, Ironer

Come one, come all!  From August 21st to 24th, the 20th annual Iron Horse Festival is making its come-back this year in style; starting with a new location!  No longer will the festival be held on Talbot Street, but has been freed into the space adjacent next to the Elgin County Railway Museum: meaning better parking, bigger space, and more fun!

This year Iron Horse has upped their iron game (or reinforced steel in this case) contracting a new midway of rides and games to maximize the fun and awesomeness.  While we are bragging about new machinery, why not brag about the PSTR Train making its way into the festival for some classic train rides - adding a little railway to the Railway City.  All aboard!

But one, crucial part is missing... music!  The Iron Horse this year will be kicking off to none other than Canadian super band April Wine!!!   General admission for everyone’s favourite band will be only $22 or purchase the special Festival Boarding Pass (including your April Wine tickets, general admission to all other shows [$5 per show value] and a coupon book worth $150) for only $30 to maximize those dollars; how can you say no?  Finally, to get your tickets early (because we know you want to).

The festival will also feature more live music, vendor space, a kid’s junction, an artisan’s village, and a battle re-enactment camp for the history buffs and more!

The new and improved Iron Horse festival, come and see for yourself.
