FRIDAY the 25th

International Paper Dolls @ St. Thomas Public Library, 10am-7pm
  • Free drop-in craft activity in the lower level.

Free Movie Night @ St. Thomas Public Libary, 6pm
  • "Wadjda", a movie about a rebellious 10 year old Saudi girl who enters a Koran recitation competition at her school and hopes to win enough money to buy her own bicycle.

Celtic Monogram Art Project @ Romantic Designs Studio, 10am-4pm
  • Guests will be show how to make their own Celtic Monogram which can be then used as personal stationery.


SATURDAY the 26th

Zentangle Art Project @ Romantic Designs Studio, 10am-4pm
  • Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images with pencil and Ink. 

Children's Yoga and Tea Tasting @ St. Thomas Public Library, 10am-11:30am
  • Children will participate in a gentle yoga class exploring poses and movements to calm mind, body, and spirit. After, children learn about different herbal teas to help with trouble sleeping or help sooth their tummy.

Drum Making Demo and Drumming Circle @ St. Thomas Public Library, 10am-12pm
  • Hugh Hill from the Oneida Nation will be doing a drum making demonstration at 10am and then a drumming circle at 11am and 11:30am

Children's Art: West End Arts Mingle @ St. Thomas Elgin Public Art Centre, 12pm-3pm
  • Collage and draw using culinary works of art as inspiration!
  • Discover the art of Pysanka (eggs decorated with Ukrainian folk designs)

Free Henna Tattoos by Aroos @ St. Thomas Public Library, 1pm-4pm
  • Enjoy a free and all natural, vegetable paste based, hand drawn henna tattoo. No registration is required. To find out more about henna and AROOS, visit their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/AROOSHENNA

Drink and Draw: West End Arts Mingle @ St. Thomas Elgin Public Art Centre, 4pm-7pm
  • Featuring live music from Regel Reeb. This event is designed to "rally" creative spirits, there are no rules, no boundaries, just a lot of creative energy.

Poetry Slam: West End Arts Mingle @ St. Thomas Elgin Public Art Centre, 7:30pm
  • 2 rounds, 3 minutes/round, all original pieces, no props, no costumes, no music, no nudity, no hate-speak. Open to all members of the public 17 years and older.


SUNDAY the 27th

Make a Faerie House @ Romantic Designs Studio, 10am-4pm
  • Come and watch as Art Doll Sculptor, Sharon Brassard demonstrates how to create a Faerie House. Using materials that are inexpensive and accessible you will be surprised at the simplicity of this creation that you can make at home and by yourself.
