FIRE MUSTER IS BACK!
Welcome back the Firemuster Festival on the Labour day weekend at Pinafore Park! The Muster kicks off every year Saturday Morning (Aug 30th @ 10:30am) with our Fire Truck Parade. The parade starts at 1055 Talbot Street and runs west on Talbot to Elgin Street, continues down Elgin to Wilson, left onto Elm St. and into Pinafore Park to kick off the weekend's events! Antique Firetrucks and Apparatus fill the park every year. They come from as far as the USA to be judged in 22 different categories. If you enjoy antique vehicles, and learning about the history of the fire service, come on out! ALSO! Friday Aug. 29th the health unit will be hosting a free movie in the park during the Muster! They will be playing Frozen! 7pm starts with free popcorn, face painting and activities for the kids, movie starts at dusk!! 2 Days of family fun and entertainment, Muster competitions, antique firetrucks and emergency service displays and demonstrations, live stage entertainment, food, vendors, huge car show! Parade, interactive children's area, firetruck rodeo, and so much more! For info call 519-631-0210. SCHEDULE Friday, August 29th 6pm Hamburgers, Hot dogs, beverages served at main pavilion. 8pm Movie in the park “Frozen” Hosted by Elgin St. Thomas Health Unit. Children’s activities, free popcorn and face painting. Saturday, August 30th All Day Antique fire trucks and apparatus on display. Vendors, children’s area, food and live entertainment. Emergency service displays and demonstrations. Beer Garden by the St. Thomas Kinette’s 10:30am Parade- Leaving Timken’s (1055 Talbot St.) west down Talbot St. to Elgin south on Elgin to Wilson Ave, left to Elm St. and into Pinafore Park. 12pm-12:30 Opening ceremonies, and National Anthems 12:30-6pm (approx) Muster Competitions, teams of 6 people compete in firefighter skills based games 1pm-5pm live stage entertainment 5pm-6pm Competition and Truck Judging awards 6pm-11pm live stage entertainment Sunday August 31st All Day Antique fire trucks and apparatus on display. Vendors, children’s area, food and live entertainment. Emergency service displays and demonstrations. Beer Garden by the St. Thomas Kinette’s 8:30 am-?
