You know the train, you know the theme song, you have the memories, now experience it all in person!  Thomas the Tank is rolling into St Thomas starting tomorrow, Friday, July 18th for the Annual Day Out With Thomas Festival in good ol’ St T. on his Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014!

An Event to Remember

The jamming event will be held at Memorial Arena (80 Wilson Ave) where you can take an actual ride on the newly talking Thomas the Tank engine. The 25 minute ride on the train will feature that fancy wrapped St Thomas Downtown Development Board train coach which is to be pulled by everyone’s favourite little blue engine for the next 5 years! The Day Out With Thomas is one of St Thomas' biggest events bringing in approximately 20,000 people each year, with this year being their 10th Anniversary!

When your aren't riding Thomas check out the other attractions that the festival has to offer like the Imagination Station, where you can get an Thomas tattoo, whip up some arts & crafts, play with some Thomas themed toys, and watch some Thomas & Friends. There is also inflatable bouncing areas, story-tellings, a gift shop selling limited edition Thomas merchandise, and much more! Also, expect to find Railway City Tourism at the event spreading the tourism cheer and helping you find your way around town, and hey we might even be one of the Prize Stamping Stations... but we will never tell!

Tickets for the event cost $25 (+tax) [free for under 2] for a single ride or $50 (+tax) for unlimited rides on Thomas on one of the Friday event days! With the purchase of a ticket you will also gain access to the Elgin County Railway Museum and their exhibits where you can see a real 5700 Steam Engine among many other railway themed artifacts & trains.

             or call: 1-888-222-6608

All Aboard! (for Breakfast)

Another option to consider would also be the Conductors Breakfast, which is a special 10th anniversary breakfast being held in the Railway Museum (with all their exhibits open) on the 19th and the 26th where one gets to enjoy a full American style breakfast with Sir Topham Hatt and the conductor, where at the end a professional story teller from Storybook Gardens will do a dramatic reading! Like we always say, the best kinds of breakfasts are the breakfasts that other people cooked for you in a Railway Museum!

Stay in Style

For those looking for hotel accommodations the Four Points by Sheraton located in South London on Wellington Road (approx. 15 min drive from St Thomas) is offering a Day Out With Thomas hotel package (Day Out With Thomas Tickets not included).
