Over the next month we encourage you to go out and support local businesses and organizations with their exciting initiatives and projects.  Listed below are some great ideas to get out with your family,  friends, enjoy a date night, or even explore these events solo!

​Tales of Talbot Street
​September 10th
Time: 12:30pm to 3:30pm
Where: Horton Farmers’ Market

Looking to get to know the history of Talbot St.? You may or may not know that the railway and automotive industries had a major impact on the history and development of the City. Join this event to learn more about the architecture and roads. Come listen to the story of St. Thomas’ past! Sign up here.

​Out of This World Craft Event
September 17th
Time: 8am to 9pm
Where: Joe Thornton Community Centre

Looking for a fun event to fill your need to craft? Purchase your ticket and get a table! Your ticket will include many items, such as: your table spot, a gift from 2 princesses, on site candy and pop, hot lunch (choices available) with dessert and snacks. For more information click here.

​Kettle Creek Food Truck Festival
​September 17th & 18th
Time: 11am to 7pm
Where: Dan Patterson Conservation Area

Come on our to the Kettle Creek Food Truck Festival to listen to live music, play some games, and eat some food from a variety of delicious food trucks. Check out all the details here.

​Summer Harvest Festival
September 23rd - 25th
Time: 4pm to 11:30pm
Where: Pinafore Park

Looking for a mix of fun, entertainment, local vendors, and more? Stop on by to the Summer Harvest Festival, which is taking place over three days! From presentations, to wellness activities, to a vendors market and food trucks, there is a days worth of stuff to do. Learn more here.

​Taco Fest
September 23rd
Time: 4pm to 10pm
Where: Wildflowers Farm

Join Wildflowers in hosting Taco Fest on the farm! In collaboration with Stereo Caliente Entertainment, you can enjoy Wildflowers’ botanical bar with savory foods from multiple vendors. Admission is free, and you can also enjoy live music while in the tranquility of the field. Learn more here.

​Railway City Road Races
September 25th
Time: 8am to 12pm
Where: Elgin County Railway Museum

The annual Glass Canada Railway City Road Races are back this year! Hosting a 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 1km Choo Choo Challenge for children. The event supports children's mental health through Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas Elgin and Wellkin Child & Youth Mental Wellness. Check out the website for more details.

Hexes & Jinxes Mystical Market
October 1st
Time: 10am to 4pm
Where: Elgin County Railway Museum

The third annual Hexes & Jinxes market is back! There will be over 65 craft vendors, food trucks, tarot readers. This market celebrates dark craft and mystical wares. For more information, check out the website.

​October 1st
Time: 10am to 5pm
Where: Shaw’s Dairy Bar

Support local artisans and makers, while also satisfying your sweet tooth! There will be live music, pumpkins (for your fall decor needs), art, and more! It is free admission and parking, so mark your calendar. Details here.

Rotary Club Discovery Tour
October 2nd
Time: 10am to 2pm
Where: Starting at Ferguson RV World

Bridges to Better Business
October 6th

Where: Elgin County Railway Museum

Join this annual event that supports local small business! Entrepreneur Nav Bhatia will take the stage to discuss how small businesses can work together and create an important community. There will also be live music from Drum Café to close out the evening. Purchase your tickets here.
