The Music & Arts committee has hear your voices and one of the highlights of this year’s Music & Arts Festival is the return of last year’s fan favourites! These returning bands have come back to St. Thomas for more great performances that are sure to get you moving. Come see them before their gone as new local artists are welcomed in to the setlist every year.

Down 'n' Dirty

Meet lead vocalist Madison Gloomba, bass guitarist David Goodman, lead guitarist Sean McGee, and drummer Cameron Head or Down ‘N’ Dirty. A rock cover band from London, Ontario known for their thrilling performances of classic rock and metal return to the Music and Arts Festival once again to deliver another blood-pumping show with influences from AC/DC, Greta Van Fleet, and Lee Aaron.

Low Down DIrty Mojos

Lowdown Dirty Mojos are known for their 60’s rhythm and blues originals and covers that made them Maple Blues Awards 2022 winners. Paul Wootton is a guitarist, vocalist, song-writer and a founding member of the band. He is no stranger to the local music scene as a seasoned member of London’s punk culture. Stephen Foster the bands co-song writer, vocalist, and lead guitarist, is an accomplished musician and well-versed in the world of music production. He is a sound technician by trade and is responsible for the band’s album recording. Robert Jarovi an organ player and pianist is largely responsibly for the unique live sound the Mojo’s bring to their performances. Kevin Christoff the bassist joined in 2022 along with drummer Claude Desroches.

The Dead Giants

The Dead Giants are a hard rock and metal band straight out of St. Thomas who are known for their originally song such as “I Took Down the Giant” and their newest song “Kings of Rock n Roll.” Come see David (Wylie) Wyles on vocals, Noah Pineau on guitar, Jason Latimer on drums, and Shawn Tolman on bass. Want an encore? Stick around after their show for their performance as Ozzy Forever at the Main Stage on Saturday, August 15th 8:15pm.

​The Jailbirds

Vocalist and guitarist Myke Penney, bassist Liam Hills, drummer Kevin Costa, and guitarist Ryan Pinheiro make up The Jailbirds. This Toronto based rock band are winners of the  2018 and 2022 Mississauga Music Awards are known for their original music including “Take Me Away” and “Dull My Brain.”  Myke Penney and Liam Hills started the band in college together in 2015. After the release of their debut ep The Black River in 2018 they quickly took off in the Canadian indie scene, in 2022 Kevin Costa joined the group as their drummer and most recently Ryan Pinheiro as guitarist. Now averaging 1.6K monthly streams on Spotify the group is a Canadian rock essential.

Sweetwood Mac

Vocalists Jenn Vanderheyden and Lois Kelly, guitarist Anthony Kriegar, keyboardist Tony Gryner, bassist Chad Archibald, and drummer Warren Stinson return with their nostalgic sound in their band Sweetwood Mac. Sweetwood Mac is a Stevie Knicks and Fleetwood Mac cover band from London, Ontario and 2024 and 2025 FCLMA Awards winners.

​Emilie is originally from London and has lived in St. Thomas for the past 12 years. She is currently studying English and History at King’s University College and is serving as the Tourism Assistant for Summer 2026. Emilie enjoys all things crafty! In her free time, you can often catch her knitting. Great job! If it were not for your posts, I would miss most of these events.

Just one request is it possible to add a link to posted events allowing them to populate on a calendar? Nice for us un-tech savy old-farts.

Hello Sue! On our events page there is a button with a calendar icon that says "add to calendar" that will drop down different options to download our events postings onto your preferred calendar app. Hope this helps!
