#GetActiveElgin Come get active at the Bicycle Festival this Summer! On June 6th come downtown by foot or bike for a fun run/walk, bike events, prizes, live music, and more! (Helmets are mandatory for all biking events) When: Saturday, June 6th from 9:00am - 12:00pm Where: The L&PS Corridor, 605 Talbot Street, St. Thomas Activities throughout the day will include bike check-ups, bike decorating, chalk drawing, yoga and dance! There will also be live music, food, community booths and local business promotions! Event Schedule 9:00am - 2k Fun Run Walk for Kids 10:00am - 5k Walk/Run 11:30am - Bike Parade Looking to STAY ACTIVE after the downtown festival?
Citizens for Active Transportation might be a good fit for you! They are a group of local residents that are passionate about being able to bike, walk and run in our community. Their goal is to advocate for improvements to existing trails, sidewalks, paved shoulders, and bike lanes in our community. The group meets the first Thursday of every month at the St Thomas Public Library, from 6-8pm and new members are always welcome.
