The 2nd annual St. Thomas Tom Zombie Prom breaks new ground this Friday by introducing the Ringmaster, actor Rob Verkest, previously known as a St. Thomas Strongman and Team Canada jujitsu Champion, to the Original Tom Zombie, Torontian John Migliore who himself has been in almost 30 zombie movies. Add to that last year’s celebrity winner of the Tom Zombie contest, Londoner Melanie Matthews and there will be an all-star line-up just waiting to meet fans.
“Plus a special surprise,” said Bryan Bakker, lead organizer for the Prom and Festival, “Vincent Ward, who played Oscar in the hit AMC TV Series ‘The Walking Dead’, has prepared a special message for us all that we’ll broadcast to the entire hall Friday night.” Add to that a great local band named Cobalt 27, in character zombies on scene from the Elgin Theatre Guild, an edible cadaver prepared and presented by James Meadows catering and a great DJ supplied by A&M Sounds, the lead event ‘The Doomed Couple Competition’ will be just one of the many fascinating lures awaiting genre fans this Friday night at the CASO Station in St. Thomas. The evening is alcohol free fun for all ages, all costumes (or casual dress), and will feature a Doomed Couple Competition, and added videos and surprises. The CASO Station is located at 750 Talbot St, St Thomas, ON, and the prom begins at 7:00pm and ends at 11:00pm. Click here for tickets!
