Join in celebrating St. Thomas’ railway heritage as we mark the 100th Anniversary of the MCRR Locomotive Shops, now home of the Elgin County Railway Museum. The weekend will feature guided tours of the shops, guest speakers, theatrical vignettes, railway art displays, kids activities and heritage demonstrations. There will be live music featuring the Retreads, Aylmer & Area Community Band and MCRR Brass Band performances. A new exhibit on the century building and the work that was done within the locomotive shops also opens as part of the festivities.
