On Saturday, May 26 the first annual Beer-lesque & Carniv-ale Show is set to take over the Elgin County Railway Museum.
The “Everything Craft & Artisanal Exhibition” is the first of its kind, blending together craft beer, steampunk, and sideshow in a way that has never been seen before. Presented by Railway City Tourism and sponsored by the St. Thomas Downtown Development Board, all event proceeds support the Railworks Coalition. Attendees are invited to sample craft beverages from several Ontario makers and to explore the artisan marketplace featuring steampunk exhibitors, tattoo artists and local craftsmen. The event boasts a full day of fun, with performances by Monsters of Schlock, The Vaudevillian, Aaron Allen & The Small City Saints, Tri City Burly-Q Burlesque Dancers, and Ctrl V Virtual Reality Gaming will be on site offering up demonstrations of the newest frontier in gaming. The event will be held in two different time sessions. The Afternoon Session runs from 11 AM - 4 PM and includes the opportunity to win prizes at the Steampunk Costume Contest. The Evening Session runs from 5 PM - 10 PM and will host a Tattoo Contest. Admission is available for individual sessions as well as all-day passes. Stay tuned for more details !
