Railway City Tourism is partnering with Savour Elgin on a #TasteofStThomas Culinary Tour on September 22. This culinary adventure will combine the railway heritage of our community with its rich agricultural roots to create a taste experience like nothing else. This full-day experience will bring together the very best the region has to offer in partnership with our local restaurateurs and producers in several locations throughout the day. The adventure will end with dinner at the Elgin County Railway Museum prepared using locally sourced ingredients. Guests will experience sweet and savoury food and beverage pairings on the train as they journey through Elgin County, a sample and produce purchase market, engage with local providers and learn about the craft of beekeeping and herbal teas and so much more. More information about the tour and tickets will be available soon so be sure to follow along with our social media for announcements. As we are finalizing details for the fall celebration of what's in season and local, we are excited to announce that our first video highlighting local flavours and the people behind them is ready for viewing!
