Dalewood Conservation areaDalewood Conservation Camping Grounds is a picturesque destination offering a range of activities and facilities for visitors of all ages. Set within 25 hectares of provincially significant wetlands, Dalewood is a haven for nature enthusiasts, featuring stunning scenery and hiking trails suitable for all levels, from beginner to extreme. The conservation area also features 187 serviced and unserviced campsites and hosts exciting special events, including Canada Day fireworks. Springwater Conservation AreaThe Springwater Conservation Area provides a comprehensive range of amenities, including a full-service campground, day-use facilities, hiking trails, year-round special events, and facility rentals. There are 182 sites serviced with hydro and water and 82 non-serviced sites. There’s something for everyone to enjoy here!! The Springwater Conservation Area was recognized with the 2019 myFM Spirit Award for “Favourite Campground/Trailer Park” and the 2023 myFM Spirit Award for “Best Fishing Spot”. Solitude Nature reserveSolitude Nature Reserve is managed by the Phil McNamee Charitable Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to preserving natural spaces for everyone to enjoy! You can visit Solitude from dawn to dusk to hike or picnic by the pond. There are also six overnight campsites in the woods, each with a tent platform, picnic table, fire pit, and composting toilet. To camp, please contact Phil at [email protected] for a permit; camping is FREE. Nearby attractions include: - Port Stanley Beach: 9 km - Port Bruce Provincial Park: 7 km - Hawks Cliff: 5 km - Village of Sparta: 4 km Guidelines for a safe and enjoyable visit: 1. Use at your own risk; we are not responsible for accidents. 2. Respect wildlife and plants. Keep dogs under control and do not feed or approach animals. 3. Day use is from dawn to dusk; overnight camping requires a permit. 4. Only park in designated areas; no bicycles allowed. 5. No smoking on the property. 6. Use electronic devices only in emergencies. 7. Do not pick flowers or cut down trees. 8. Fires are allowed only in designated fire pits. 9. No horses on trails. 10. Take all the garbage with you. 11. Leave only footprints; take only photos. The Solitude Nature Reserve aims to protect and preserve Solitude as a space where people can connect with and care for nature!
