St. Thomas’s favourite festival is back! Iron Horse Festival takes place Thursday, August 18th to Sunday, August 21st on the Elgin County Railway Museum grounds. There is so much going on at the festival this year – here are all of the amazing events and activities that you won't want to miss!
There will be a Midway full of carnival rides for everyone from the extreme daredevils to the little ones! Take a spin on the festival’s many thrill rides, including Round Up, Scrambler, Frolic, Dragon Wagon Coaster, Hampton Cars, Funni Farm Fun house, Zoo Affair Spin ride, Merry go Round and more!

Enjoy live performances all summer long!
Introducing Downtown Tracks, a summer concert series that will take place in front of the L&PS Station at 605 Talbot Street. Railway City Tourism, in partnership with the Small Business Enterprise Centre and Downtown Development Board, is aiming to provide up-and-coming local performers with a venue to display their talent, while filling downtown with excellent sounds.
Artists will perform every Saturday throughout July and August from 3:00pm-5:00pm, at no cost to the public. All types of music will be featured, with refreshments supplied for you to enjoy while taking in the fantastic performances.
At the end of the summer, we will be holding a contest where YOU get to pick which act you liked best, and the winner will receive an amazing prize pack!

April 20, 2016 is National Canadian Film Day, a day to throw off the shackles of fear and insecurity, stand together with Canadians from coast to coast and pat ourselves on the back for something other than various ice-related sports and sports-related doughnut shops. It’s a light-hearted intervention for our national consciousness, a wake-up call to anyone who has not yet been exposed to the great cinematic stories we tell one another in this cold, vast country.
